Advice to the Wise – May 6, 2026
What is your reaction when others offer you advice? To ask for advice reveals wisdom. To receive advice reveals humility. Paul and Barnabas asked for advice from the apostles and elders. Paul gave Peter advice when he was in the wrong. Peter later affirmed Paul’s ministry. Who do you trust to give you godly advice? Are you open to what God might want to say to you through others?
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. – Proverbs 27:17
Prayer: Lord, thank You for providing godly wisdom and insight through
brothers and sisters in Christ. Open my ears to humbly listen to what You want to say to me through them, so that I might grow in Christlikeness. I want to be a wise and discerning servant. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
